In addition\, Michael serves as a clinical instructor.Michael credits his love for healthcare to growing up in New York City and to his parents\, who are from Panama. His upbringing exposed him firsthand to many healthcare challenges and obstacles. These experiences led him to pursue a career in Nursing. Michael believes community care is essential to advancing society. He is a board member of the Black Men's Health Clinic and DNPs of Color. He has also been featured in the Wall Street Journal\, highlighting the importance of males in nursing\, and Telemundo\, raising community awareness of World AIDS Day. Michael firmly believes that improving healthcare outcomes begins with educating and empowering the community that he serves.
